What if you could be your perfect weight all the time?

Why is it so hard to keep the weight off?
The reality is that 95% of our thinking is run by our subconscious (emotional) mind and only 5% by our conscious (thinking) mind.
The chances are that you used your strong willpower from your conscious mind to keep you on your diet and exercise program when you lost the weight initially.
In the background though those subconscious beliefs are still running your thoughts. As soon as you relax the willpower the old behaviours and beliefs start creeping back in.
How the rules of the mind affect our thoughts about food
Lets take an example … suppose you love cake.
As a child you always ate cake when it was a happy occasion like a birthday or anniversary. So you have made an emotional connection with cak
Cake makes me feel happy. If I want to feel happy I will eat cake.
So all the time you are on a diet you still have the belief that you love cake and cake makes you happy. The rules of the mind then kick in to reinforce those beliefs.
The mind always takes you away from pain and towards pleasure.
If you are feeling upset, hurt, angry, betrayed or any other negative emotion your mind will steer you towards cake as it believes cake will make you feel better.
The mind does exactly what it thinks you want it to do.
If you have the belief that cake makes you happy the mind will use all its resources to bring cake to you.
Another rule of the mind …
In the battle between emotion and logic, emotion ALWAYS wins.
So even though in your logical (conscious) mind you know cake isn’t good for you and won’t really make you happy, your emotional (subconscious) mind will overule and make you feel like cake will make you happy
